Taoist Ethics in Astrology – The Responsibility Behind Political Silence

Why I Never Predict Political Outcomes – A Taoist Astrologer’s Lesson on Karma and Responsibility

When I first started practicing astrology and energy work, my teacher told me one thing clearly:
“Never involve yourself in political matters. That karma is too heavy.”

At the time, I didn’t fully understand. But experience would teach me just how real that warning was.

A Personal Story

In my early years as a reader, I was occasionally approached by officials. Not high-ranking leaders, but those who were still in positions where their decisions affected the lives of thousands—sometimes millions.

One such person once asked me about their future role. They worked in urban infrastructure and city management. I gave them guidance based on the divination result, and they thanked me, paid my fee, and left.

A few months later, I saw in the news that he had implemented a major city-wide policy—which happened to align exactly with the direction I had suggested.

At first, I was proud. He was thoughtful, he listened.

But a year later, I had dinner with a businessman from the same industry. He mentioned that while the policy had benefits, it also disrupted hundreds of small vendors, hurt many local businesses, and led to reduced income for many families.

He casually estimated that the ripple effects could have impacted thousands of people.

That night, I remembered my teacher’s warning.

Taoist Karma Isn’t Just About “Good” or “Bad”

In Taoist philosophy, karma (or “fruit” / 果”) doesn’t care about intention. If you spark something that leads to widespread suffering—even indirectly—you carry part of the energetic consequence.

Whether what I advised was helpful or not doesn’t matter. Those who were harmed because of that policy? That suffering partially traces back to me.

And that’s only one city.

Now imagine influencing someone on the scale of a national leader. If you advise a politician who later triggers war, trade conflict, famine, or environmental destruction—the weight of that karma becomes unimaginable.

Why I Avoid Predicting Elections

Some people ask: “Is it possible to predict who will win an election?”

From a technical standpoint—yes. With astrology, you can forecast trends, shifts, and likely outcomes.

But once you do, and you speak it publicly, you’ve intervened. You’ve shifted timelines. If your words affect even one voter’s mind or one decision-maker’s doubt—you’ve planted karmic seeds you may not want to reap.

The Goal of Real Masters Is Liberation, Not Influence

In traditional Taoist and Chinese metaphysics, the highest aim of an astrologer is not accuracy or fame. It’s transcendence.

We call it “羽化升仙”—to shed the human burden and ascend beyond the cycles of rebirth.

Every karmic thread we accumulate weighs us down. Helping people is part of the path—but interfering with collective fate is not.

This is why top masters often go quiet, retreat to mountains, or leave the city. Not out of arrogance—but to stay light.

Final Thought

Predicting politics isn’t hard.

But speaking about it makes you a participant, not an observer.

And when you participate in systems that influence millions, you share their consequences.

Who becomes president doesn’t matter as much as this truth:

“That answer should not come from your mouth.”
