Why You Should Never Store Stones Under Your Bed — A Real Taoist Case
A few weeks ago, a customer at ElTao purchased a Ziwei Huì (a protection talisman), followed by a Shan Gui Coin, and later asked me if we still had peachwood swords.
I already had a sense of what was happening.
Then he told me a story.
🧳 A Cheap Apartment, a Haunting Cry
Let’s call him James.
He had traveled to a western city in China for a short-term project. To save costs, he rented a very cheap room in an old residential block — part of what’s called a “Chengzhongcun” (urban village). These are aging buildings trapped between new skyscrapers — dense, chaotic, and often poorly regulated.
Such neighborhoods often house transient populations, including sex workers who frequently move to avoid police attention.
James had no involvement with any of that — he was there for work.
But his energy was exposed to the environment nonetheless.

👶 A Baby’s Cry in the Dark
One night, James was jolted awake by what sounded like a baby crying.
At first, it seemed distant — maybe from next door.
But the sound moved closer.
It shifted… to inside the room.
And then — right next to his pillow.
Half-asleep, half-frozen, James looked over and saw a shadow, about the size of a baby, hovering near his head.
Panicked, he swatted at it.
It vanished. So did the sound.
But he didn’t sleep again that night.

👁 It Happened Again
Another night: more crying.
This time, it came from the curtain.
He jumped up and threw a shoe at the sound.
Gone again.
After two or three more episodes, his health began to decline. He lost weight. His nerves were fraying.
That’s when he messaged me again.
❓“Where’s Your Talisman?”
I asked him, “Where did you keep the Ziwei Huì I gave you?”
“In my backpack,” he said.
I sighed. “You should’ve kept it close while sleeping. On the bed, not away from your body.”
Then I asked the key question:
“Have you ever checked under your bed?”
He hadn’t.
So he turned on the light and looked.
He was shocked.
Not only were there stones under the bed — there were many.
💀 The Real Reason Stones Are Dangerous
I told him, “Get out of there tonight. Ask for your deposit back.”
If the landlord refuses, ask them what the stones under the bed are for.
He moved out immediately.
The next day, he followed my advice.
The landlord returned his money — without a word.
Why?
Because placing stones under the bed is a real, if sinister, practice.
In ancient times, brothel owners would do this beneath the beds of female workers.
The energy of the stones — paired with high yin environments — disrupted pregnancy.
This often led to unseen miscarriages, preventing “problems” for those in charge.
But the cost?
The lost spirits of those children lingered, carrying pain, confusion, and in some cases… rage.
James didn’t just move into a haunted room.
He moved into a place soaked with spiritual residue — one that should have been purified, but never was.

🧭 Final Thought from Wuyu

Never store stones under your bed.
Not even crystals.
The space beneath your bed is part of your energy body while you sleep — vulnerable, open, unguarded.
Keep it clean.
Keep it clear.
Keep it protected.
If you ever feel strange dreams, chills, or shifting shadows at night, look around.
And look under.
Stay awake, even while you sleep.
