How to Recognize Universal Cues: Speak or Stay Silent?

When the Universe Interrupts You — Don’t Push Forward

There’s a rule I always follow:
If something interrupts you just before you’re about to speak…
Don’t say it.

Let me tell you why.

Last week, my client and friend Tom shared a story that confirmed this.

🛒 The Setup

Tom works as a manager at a supermarket. He’s not in charge of the warehouse, but one evening after work, he saw the warehouse supervisor having drinks with a supplier.

Now, in this industry, that’s not too unusual — a little wining and dining goes with the territory. But Tom had his doubts.

The supplier’s products had received several customer complaints. Tom had already flagged it and told the warehouse team to be more cautious with inspection.

Something felt off.

A person pausing mid-conversation, hand slightly raised, surrounded by soft light and calm background.

🍽️ The Missed Moment

The next day at lunch, Tom was about to mention the incident to the warehouse supervisor.

Right as he opened his mouth — his wife called.

She wanted to discuss his father-in-law’s birthday dinner.

After the call, Tom turned back to the conversation…
And the supervisor’s phone rang. Again, Tom stayed silent.

Then he remembered what I told him long ago:

“If you’re twice interrupted before saying something important, consider the universe is telling you — not now.”

So Tom changed the subject.

📉 The Aftermath

Two months later, the warehouse supervisor was quietly removed from his position.

Why?

Turns out, the supplier was a college friend of the company owner’s son-in-law. The two had been replacing high-cost inventory with cheap goods behind the scenes.

The warehouse supervisor found out later but kept quiet — trying to protect himself.

Eventually, during a personal argument, the owner’s daughter accidentally discovered financial evidence. The chain reaction exposed multiple stores, and anyone who “knew but didn’t speak” was removed.

A person standing alone by a window, thoughtful, as sunlight creates a peaceful atmosphere.

Tom told me:

“If I had said something, I might’ve been dragged into it. Especially since I wasn’t in charge. I would’ve looked like I was stirring trouble.”

🔔 What’s the Lesson?

Sometimes, you’re about to say something, and:

  • The phone rings
  • Someone knocks
  • You feel dizzy or forget what you were saying
  • A loud sound interrupts the moment

That’s not coincidence.

That’s a warning.

Your timing is off. The space isn’t safe. Or… that message wasn’t meant to leave your mouth yet.

So next time, if you’re twice interrupted — pause.
Let the universe speak first.
