A Real-Time Travel Story – and What Taoists Think
Yes, I’ve heard real stories of people crossing time.
Not in novels or movies — in real life.
And after discussing it with other Taoist practitioners, we’ve reached two general conclusions:
1. Soul Travel Is Possible
Your body is bound by gravity and time.
But your soul, under very rare conditions —
a sudden magnetic field, a natural opening, or high-level Taoist methods —
can drift across timelines.
Most of the time, it affects only the individual and does not change history.
2. Physical Time Travel? Extremely Rare
Most stories about someone “possessing” a body in the past, or stepping into another life —
require too many coincidences to succeed:
- Right timing
- A vessel with no awareness
- No disruption to the flow of cause and effect
It’s far more common in fiction.
But… then I heard about Tom.
And his story still stuns me today.
🧒 Tom’s Time Slip
Tom was 13, living in a small town.
That evening, after dinner at his grandpa’s, he went home.
When the power cut out, he sat by the door, waiting for his parents.
Suddenly, he heard someone call his name.
It was his grandfather — but strangely young-looking.

They walked up the hill, where Tom noticed something was off:
- The public park was gone
- The fountain replaced by old houses
- The entire hill looked… older
Inside one house, a young woman cooked.
She looked just like Tom’s mom — but younger, in outdated clothes.
Then came a man with a camera — Tom’s dad, but decades younger.
They invited him to take a family photo.
He agreed, and instinctively zoomed in afterward to check the image.
On the baby’s wrist was a bracelet with a Chinese character: 辰.
That was Tom’s childhood bracelet.

😱 Realization
When the woman called the baby by his name —
“Tom, say hi to your big brother!” —
he panicked and ran.
When he reached the base of the mountain, his phone buzzed.
20+ missed calls. His parents were searching for him.

Although he thought only 30 minutes passed, it had been six hours.
Back home, after sharing everything, his father quietly brought out a photograph —
the exact one Tom took.
It was 12 years old.
His dad said:
“A boy once came to the old house, took a picture, then ran off.
We never figured out who he was.”
They never told anyone else.
🌌 Final Thought from Wuyu
Soul or body, some things are possible…
But they’re never meant to be repeated.
The universe bends sometimes — but only briefly.
And only when you’re not trying to make it happen.
If you’ve experienced something like this,
feel free to share it — quietly.
Some things we keep between souls.
